Member Bulletin May 2026

Dear Members,

Welcome to the May edition of the PFRA Member Bulletin. It has been a busy month for the PFRA, with preparations for the upcoming AGM underway and work progressing to welcome our new directors to the PFRA Board.

We have a few key updates to highlight below:

  • 2026 AGM and Strategy Update
  • Charity Director Election 2026
  • Fundraiser Spotlight
  • April Quality Report

As always, please reach out to admin@pfra.org.au if you have any questions, or if we can assist in any way.

2026 AGM and Strategy Update

Thank you to all members who have RSVP’d for the 2026 AGM. We look forward to seeing you on the 29th of May in Sydney. The next phase of our strategy is in its final stages, led by our CEO Peter and will be presented at the 2026 AGM. The strategy has been developed with input from members, the Board, staff and More Strategic.

Charity Director Election 2026

Voting for the two available charity board positions will now open at 9:00am on Wednesday 20 May and close at 5:00pm on Friday 22 May. A reminder that only charity members are eligible to vote in this election for charity-designated board seats, and the voting link will be sent to the primary contact from each charity member once voting opens. Please let us know if your organisation’s primary contact needs updating. We encourage all eligible members to take part and ensure their organisation’s voice is represented.

Fundraiser Spotlight

This month’s Fundraiser Spotlight features Thomas from All Australian Marketing, representing the Royal Flying Doctors Service South Eastern Section.

Thomas, All Australian Marketing

All Australian Marketing recently received feedback praising Thomas for his professionalism, strong knowledge of the organisation, and the genuine way he engaged with a mystery shopper. The interaction left such a positive impression that the shopper chose to continue their regular support of RFDSSE.

This is a testament to how hard the team at RFDSSE have worked to provide in-depth knowledge to their fundraisers about the organisation and the powerful conversations fundraisers can have when they really care about the cause.

Thomas – representing the Royal Flying Doctors Service South Eastern Section.

If you have a positive fundraising story to share, please email admin@pfra.org.au.

April Quality Report

You can view the April Quality Report here or in the Updates and Publications area of the PFRA website.

The most frequently breached rules this month were:

  • Rule 1.1 – Members must comply with all current legislation and regulations, including the PFRA Standard.
  • Rule 3.3 – Fundraisers must wear a compliant ID badge.
  • Rule 4.7 – Fundraisers mustn’t initiate physical contact.

Across April we recorded 15 breach free reports, which is a fantastic result.
