There is no Federal legislation regarding charitable fundraising, however the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission is responsible for the regulation of charities more generally.
State and Territory Regulations
Fundraising is formally regulated by state and territory governments. In addition, local authorities may also have rules for the conduct of fundraising in their area.
